Sue it is sad when a young girl has to tell the people in authority that they are not doing things right and tell them what must be done. Of course greed rules.. Alex was like me impressed by the girl but said wonder if they will pay attention...or that will be as far as it goes.

Yes it does. Sadly Mel I am not surprised. The truth does hurt but in this occasion, the truth is that greed rules...regardless what anyone else thinks and they cannot even be ashamed into action. We need a whole new government both in this country and in ours. Ok there are elections but what if we dont like any of the candidates..we are stuck with them..we need some people who put US and THE PLANET first....charity begins at home...and the people are all crying out ...but it lands on deaf ears.

They all have plenty money Meil and that is what matters to them...they are good for nothing else...no firm would tolerate their behaviour and all the mistakes they make at our expense.
I do wish they would bring our troops home....there are a lot of troops from Scotland young lads who dont even understand what they are firghting for.

Did you all read, in the newspaper, about these rich U.S. oil executives who appeared before a government panel, yesterday? One of the senators thinks they don't need all this money. The oil men countered, saying they need it to "keep in business, and to expand". Does anyone believe this?? Personally, I still think we need to search out other ways of getting our gasoline...without having to depend on outside sources! I don't seem to be hearing about anyone doing this (search).

I see a revolt coming on, if gas prices rise much higher.

No I never read this Gil. Dont you think that these executives are so greedy they have forgotten any commonsense they ever had. The world is ruled by greed. Your gas prices are cheaper than ours..but over here everyone is complaining. Gil things are bad in both our countries and something has to be done ...and very soon. However if their is a revolt or whatever ...it will serve all these "know it all" politicians right....they deserve what they get. I dont know how the public let them get away with all they do.

Paula...yeah, and these politicians are the ones who "know" how to get us gas a LOT cheaper...if they would only act. They are the ones who should revolt...and not stand for these high prices, anymore! They ought to make it a LAW to find out where gas and oil deposits are, in our country..and even elsewhere!

Gil that is what they should do, but they wont do it , they probably get their gas free or have enough money to pay for it. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I think if it was women who were the politicians thngs would be a lot different.
