Last of the Summer Wine started in 1973. It turned out to be one of the best classic comedy series starring Bill Owen as Compo, Peter Sallis as Clegg and Brian Wilde as Foggy who were the three main characters. Other members of the cast included John Cromer who played Sid, with Jane Freeman who played his wife Ivy. Joe Gladwin played Wally Batty who was married to Nora Batty played by Kathy Staff. During the run of the programme there were many well known actors and actresses.

Ah...Summer Wine, we do enjoy watching it when the network puts it on. Do you remember 'On The Buses?"

Yes I do remember that series with Reg Varney. That is going back but dont you think the old series were funny. I miss these.
I have some OTR of Last of the Summer Wine but this is available only for contacts.
